This is a constantly evolving recipe. Brewed on Friday last week. It is happily bubbling away right now. I'll let you know how it turns out...

What kind of honey did you use? Try priming with honey as well to really add to the complexity of the taste. Hop combo looks tasty! Whats the deal with two types of crystal? I don't see that very often

honey was from some local wisconsin company...I think it was just wildflower. only reason used two different crystal was that I just needed some more to complete the recipe and that was all I had on hand. Still fermenting out. Going to let it go two weeks and then keg. can't wait.

Where your recipe says "Added during mash" does it really mean that these are being steeped? It looks like it because of all the extract and the the small quantities of stuff being "added during the mash".

Also - what do mean, exactly, when you say the honey is "steeped after boil". I am still coming up to speed on reading these recipes...

Thanks,
Mark

You are right, it is an extract recipe so you just need to steep the specialty grains. I added the honey at flame out to keep as much flavor. Happy brewing!

This sounds like a tasty brew!

Not sure I'm following your hop schedule though. Did you add the Warrior at 60 and then Cascade at 30 and then Amarillo at 15 and so on and so forth?

Also, are you dry hopping two separate times? Or is that just one addition of 2 oz Simcoe, and 1 oz of Cascade and Citra?

It should say that it is only dry hopped with one ounce of simcoe and one ounce of cascade. I've done it wth just citra before and that was really good too.
