I have three of those 1.6G cornys that I've been using a while with the original o-rings. I was just cleaning them when I found this deposit left from a deteriorating o-ring:

I really do love these kegs, but I'm swapping out the o-rings now! @odie ..I'm tagging you here because I know you have some too. This probably applies to the larger ones as well.
Just so y'all know.
EDIT: ..forgot to add: I've only ever hit them with PBW and star san...ok so maybe I let the star san too long, but only in the course of sanitizing, so no long soaks or anything, and I do use keg lube every time.
:mug:

I clean all of my o-rings every time I empty a keg. Even the tube ones. Never had an issue. My wife calls me anal......
So do I! I'm just sayin; Lose the original o-rings...I've no idea what they're made of.

those chinese cornies....

I already had to replace the post rings...they were cracking.
