Hello Fellow Brewers!

I just brewed a strawberry blonde that I'm pretty stoked on and was wanting to control the fermentation temperature as closely as possible so I turned my fridge all the way up and put my carboy in. I got a temp reading of 64 degrees when I put it in, but the next morning I checked on it and it had dropped to about 55 degrees and no apparent fermentation had occured at all. I moved the carboy back into my closet where I have always fermented and fermentation took off about 24 hours later. Have I ruined my beer?

Cheers,
Casey.

No you have not ruined your beer.

More info - what yeast did you use and what is the temperature in the place you have your fermenter now?

I used White Labs 060 American Ale Blended and my fermenter is now at about 72 degrees.
