Hey guys,
Always a great help here. I just brewed a Caribou Slobber and this is my scenario and let me know if I need to wait a bit more for better taste.
Fermented in Primary for 2 weeks 2 days.
Fermented around 75-79F
Got the gravity I wanted of 1.015
Transferred directly to keg and put it on C02 (9psi)
Waited 1 week 3 days - it's fully carbed now
So now almost 4 weeks into it - it tastes a little sour/bitter?
I know i sanitized everything thoroughly and cleaned the entire keg system.
Could this be due to the sediment at the bottom of the keg on the first few pours? Should I pour a pitcher out?
Any help appreciated. What time limit should I know to ditch it and start another.
I can still smell like a caramel / sweet smell, but tastes sour or bitter. Not sure how to tell the difference.
thanks in advance
Josh
