I have a co-worker who recently found out about her gluten intolerance. Does anyone have a good litely hopped beer (6-9 ibu ) recipe that I could make for her? I have looked at several kits and recipes online and most have high ibu to cover the taste of the sorghum. Thanks

Check out two of the malting companies in Colorado that do Gluten Free malts. Millet would probably be the best for this recipe. That and rice syrup/solids. I believe it would be an American hop that has been boiled to death for Bud, but I would check out some of the recipes in the regular forum for hop schedules. But I do recall something saying one addition, maybe 60 minutes?

i have a nice, crisp american light lager recipe thats extremely simple:
OG:1.038

65% Sorghum
35% Rice Syrup Solids

for ten gals:

.75oz Santiam 60min (8.4 IBUs)
.5oz Santiam 25min (3.9 IBUs)
.5oz Santiam 1min (.2 IBUs)

Cool to 50deg, pitch Saflager S-23, hold for about two weeks, drop to 35deg for a few weeks, enjoy.
