Lol. I dunno what I do anymore. :D

I write, maintain and study the results from a multi-fidelity physics based simulation.

Yeah I don't know what it means either :D

"I'm an analyst and a therapist, you could call me an analrapist." :D

Actually I was yet another IT guy, now I'm Mr. Mom. Better work environment but the hours suck...

I am Neptune god of the sea, I sink ships and conjure up storms.

What?! I'm Neptune and you know nothing of my work!

(Family Guy reference here: http://www.familyguyquotes.com/characters/peter-griffin-quotes-42.html altho they don't have it quoted right)

Anyway, I'm a Lighting, Exit & Emergency and Fire Alarm Systems Designer for one of the largest records management companies in the US, sounds fancy and all, but kinda isn't. I spend my free time designing 3D models of Fire Apparatus (I'm a volunteer Fireman) and wondering each day if I should think if a career change that would use my hobbies and talent more than my current job of just dropping pre-made blocks of symbols in AutoCAD drawings and the occasional photometric design that actually is quite fun.

Wireless 5ESS switch technician. In normal speak, I work on a big computer that handles the cell phone traffic for #3.

I'm an importer. Well, actually an Importer/Exporter. But really I'm considering quitting the Exporting and just focusing on the Importing. Unfortunately this is causing some trouble with SWMBO because she thinks, you know, why not do both?

It's been very stressful, which is why I drink.

So, what do you import? Corn chips or really big matches?

I'm a submarine sonar technician in the US Navy. When I'm on a submarine I spend hours in a dark room looking at computer displays making sure we don't bump into things. On my current shore assignment, I watch people watching those same displays in a simulator to make sure they don't bump into things, and then I get to help them assess what they did wrong. In four years I'm retiring, and then I'm going to do something that doesn't involve looking at computer displays.

Was a Laser and Dot Peen Marker Service technician. Got to see the country, along with Canada and Mexico on the company's dime. Also tried a lot of different beers across the country and acquired lots of pint glasses and t shirts on the company's dime. Travel got old after 2.5 years and i took a desk job when it opened up in January 08. Now I'm the guy that tries to fix the problems over the phone to avoid sending our guys (who i used to be) out unless they're really needed. Then I work with another guy on scheduling and coordinating the guys. It's a lot less interesting but I browse HBT all day between phone calls, work on and plan home projects between calls and I'm home at my house with my wife and new son everyday come 5 o'clock. <-- Best part of my job! This was my first job out of college and was good for teaching me early on that there are things in this world FAR more important than money. ( Mainly my avatar and the woman that carried him)

I captain several small sailboats for nighttime cruises and charters to the carribean. I am also a scuba instructor and own a small tattoo parlor.

I am a semi-professional racecar driver and an amateur tattoo artist.

Seriously, I'm a contract software developer for an airline.

I'm a physician-General Internist with special interest on Bariatric Medicine. In essence I specialize in treating overweight patients.

Secondary: moldy Dark Cherry Ale
Drinking: Cream Ale, Light ale

Wasn't there already a thread about this?

Stay at home dad here.

There was, but I'll play again anyway...

I work for a wine producer. My title is "Customer Service Specialist" but my duties go above and beyond that. I'm a general go to, know it all guy in my position. It's a small team so I kind of have to be.

Did you work on the ZR1 brakes? I've done the training on the car and its impressive. Unfortunately, in the area I'm in, I will probably never work on one...

Nice... I had the parts department price the rotors: $1699 ea with front pads going for $799 and rears for $599!! Out of curiosity, what is the expected life for the rotors?

Did you get an opportunity to get some seat time? I've driven plenty of Z06's including some highly modified ones(one even ended up with a warranty block) but this it the first Vette that I have yearned to drive.

During street driving, the rotors will go the life of the car. Under track usage, they will last about 6x the life of an iron rotor.

I have a good bit of seat time. The difference btween the ZR1 and Z06 is night and day. I am not a Vette guy at all....I worship at the temple of the Prancing Horse....but I am blown away by the ZR1.

Don't get much of the Prancing Horse in this neck of the woods ~ especially in a Chevy dealership for that matter. I work on lots of Vettes and am building my customer base up substantially lately. I definitely prefer working on sports cars over Impalas and Cavaliers. If this area were a little more affluent, I'm sure I would be heading for an exotics shop. I think it would be a good gig to be the Bugatti tech that gets flown to the customer for maintenance & repairs ~ at least for awhile anyway.
