Hey all just wanted to post that I have graduated from Extract brewing today with my first BIAB today.

-Recipe-
9.5 lbs US 2 row
8 oz Carastan
2 oz Special B
Mash at 154 for 75 minutes raise temp to mash out at 170 over 15 minutes.

Boil 60 min
.5 oz Tomahawk 13.9 AA 60 min
.5 oz Tomahawk 13.9 AA 15 min
1 oz Cascade 5.0 AA 0 min

Wyeast 1056

-Results-
Amazingly I hit my Mash temp of 154 wrapped it up in a sleeping bag and it held perfectly at 154 for 75 minutes. Spent 10 minutes heating the mash up to 170 and pulled the bag.
The only issue I ran into was during the cool down, my IC sprung a small leak that I caught right away and wrapped the hose connector with a towel.
I transferred 5.25 gallons of 78 degree wort into a carboy where it will sit a few hours to drop a bit more in temp before pitching my yeast.

OG 1.053 which gives me an efficiency of 76%.

Thanks,

Even though I know better i'll probably rush this beer through the pipeline, my keg is almost tapped and I am too excited to try my first AG beer. Probably 3 weeks in primary and then i'll force carb just to taste it.
