I am curious, do I need to wait and let my conical dry for a week before I put another batch in it, or can I brew another batch the day after cleaning it and put it in? I've heard contradicting stories here.

I've been told I nee at least a week to dry so that the surface will passivate. I've also heard that I really don't need to worry about it?

Thoughts?

Once the oxidation layer is there, I wouldn't think you need to repassivate it unless you stripped the oxidation layer off with an acid like Barkeeper's Friend.

Thanks, I am assuming that the layer is there already. I did clean it once I got home, but it was sitting out in the air before that.

Thanks for the reply. I have a batch in it right now, and I am going to keg it on next Wednesday. I'd like to put another batch in it on Saturday. I'm guessing that's enough time.
