Blichmann Brew Commander temperature probe not reading

I have a Blichmann Brew Commander. The temperature readout reads “- - -“ no matter of the temperature of the liquid. I’ve only used the unit a less than ten times. Has anyone else ran into this issue? I assume (hope) that it’s just the $8.00 temperature probe, but worry it could be the probe jack or an internal electronic issue.
The probe is seated correctly.

It's 99% probability that it's the probe. Is the unit less than a year old?

I think it’s a couple years old now.

Probe i think $12 or so. I just had to replace mine. I moved the kettle with the probe still in the thermowell and pulled on the cable. It read as you described above. I could wiggle it around and get it to read temp briefly.
