I am looking for the malt bill for a black ipa. This is what I am thinking:
5.25 gallons
6 lbs. MO
6 lbs 2-Row
0.5 lbs Chocolate Malt
0.5 lbs Cara-pils
0.5 lbs C-80.
Wyeast 1272 American Ale II
Hops are amarillo, magnum and chinook in some order.
Will this malt bill achieve optimal black color and malty tatse? I will probably mash around 154F. I can't download any software because I am using a work computer. Otherwise, I would input this in promash or beersmith.
