I was thinking about ordering some yeast from BSI, but the smallest quantity they ship in seems to be 1BBL. What would be the best way to separate that into 5 gallon starters? I reckon I'd use 1/6 of that initial starter for a 5 gallon batch. Should I just use quart mason jars to split and store the remainder and treat it like a normal yeast washing? Thanks!
