Hi All,
I've been lurking this awesome site for years, and this is my first post, be gentle with me.
I'm interested in adding various food ingredients, particularly in IPAs, to accentuate and compliment the fruit and spice flavours of the hops.
The methods I've read about include adding fresh, or dried, or pureed, or frozen, or baked fruits and/or spices to the boil, or the fermenter, or to a secondary, or to the bottle. Or making a tea to add to any of these. OR steeping in clear spirits to make a liqueur and adding that to primary, secondary, bottle, etc...
I'd love to see a discussion thread between the fruit and spice beer aficionados on what y'all think are the best methods for achieving this.
Thanks!
