Beer bottles

Would it be ok to put mead in beer bottles? Not all of it, but maybe just 2 or 3 bottles so that I could sample from time to time without opening an entire 750 ml bottle.

I would not dream of doing it any other way. How often do you really want a 1/5th of mead?

thats what im doing with mine. i got a bunch of corona bottles that i took the paint off of. that way theres just enough for a glass for my wife and i each out of a bottle and dont have to worry about wasting the rest of a big bottle.
just bottled this one today , hasnt completely cleared from that
