BCS 460 Temp probes

Is there a way to extend the wire length on the BCS 460 probes? I need to add a foot or two to reach my pamel. Will this mess up the calibration?? Can I just splice some wires to make up the distance? I was looking at these: https://www.brewershardware.com/4-Temperature-Sensor-for-BCS-460.html I believe they are 7' and I need around 9'...

I re-did the wiring on mine while making them a little longer. No problems. It will probably effect the calibration since the length of wire has an effect, but it is fairly simple to recalibrate the new probes. Just look it up on the BCS wiki.

Its should have very minimal impact on temp reading. The thermistor is 10,000 ohms nominal. The wire you will add will likely be 1/2 ohm at most.
