Bacon in a bottle

There's a bar around here called the beirgarden. The have a really great imported selection.

They have one beer the bartender likes to call bacon in a bottle. I'm not sure what the real name was. Not sure if it was German or Belgian. It's been years since I've been but I may need to make a trip. The bar tender says there's no bacon in the beer. Just lots of smoked malts.

Anyone know of this beer? Name recipe?

Might be. I think o saw that at the beer store the other day. I'll have to go early next week to see if they still have it.

sounds like a rauch bier. an acquired taste for sure. i call it bbq beer.

One of my biggest supporters is vegan so I try to avoid lactose or gelatin finning. Then another friend asked if I could make a bacon beer and it made me think of that rauch bier I had so many years ago.
