It's true.

"Begin to love being punched in the face with a fist of hops." happened around three years ago. Come September I'm a friggin' terror on the interwebs finding my annual supply of pungent, high-IBU hops to add to my home-grown Chinook, Cascade and Centennial, because there's a year of recipes to push the lupulin envelope, taste-bud theory be damned.

But there must also be some truth that you can't really tell the difference between, say, 100 IBU and 150 IBU, because I routinely brew the former, and have (on paper) tried brewing the latter, and any difference in the Pucker Factor (pf) was pretty much indiscernible.

Which is probably A Good Thing, at least on a cost-per-batch basis...

Cheers! ;)
