I like to make barley wines to age for a couple of years bottle conditioned before drinking but prefer a smaller pour than 12 ounces. I am having difficulty finding smaller bottles that are brown and not twist tops. Does anyone know of a source for these? 6, 7, or 8 ounce would do. The only one I have found is on Amazon but does not get great reviews, broken bottles from transit.
Thanks in advance.

My LHBS sells 187ml ~6.3oz bottles that are cappable. I use them for bigger meads that I don’t want to drink 500ml or 750ml at a time. The biggest downside is that they are clear, but if kept in the box I would think sunlight wouldn’t be an issue.

You could drink six ozs and recap the bottle. It'll make it okay for a few days. I've done it successfully, but only for one day.
