Another what do I have

Opened up my Kolsch and found this. Guess my fermenter is trash now.

Looks like kraeusen to me. Doesn't look like anything is wrong.

Looks fine to me. Even if you have an infection, no need to trash the ferm chamber unless you have lots of obvious scratches and gouges. I use the same primary for regular batches as I do for bug batches, you just need to clean them well.

Interesting, I would swear it was something, maybe lacto or who knows. That's a pretty good hope if it's just kraeusen. I would have figured the kraeusen would have all dropped by now, I was going on 3 or 4 weeks in the fermenter. Hope you guys are right. I kegged it hoping it works out. Thanks for the encouragement.

The ring around the fermenter seems the same color and texture as the stuff floating on the top. That tells me it is almost certainly kraeusen. I had it stick around for a long time on some beers.
