I brewed a Wheat beer a month ago, and it has carbed up nice in the keg. My question is can I add some cherry flavoring to the beer at this point? Would I just purge the co2 out and add the flavor, and reseal? Anything I need to worry about here?

Yup, you've got it right. There is some risk of contamination, but you've already got a CO2 blanket and hopefully the cherry flavoring you're putting in is sanitary. I would recommend pulling a couple pints to create enough headroom to get some good slosh instead of trying to manually mix it (and risk infection).
