Acceptable Additives?

I'm going to be making my second batch of "cider" soon, but this time will be buying juice from the market.

What additives are acceptable when purchasing juice? The one I see most is absorbic acid and sometimes malic acid. What ones do I absolutely want to stay away from?
 
The less additives the better, ascorbic and malic acid are not harmful but not helpful either, but sorbic acid or sorbate is bad.
