I'm looking for a minijack splitter that can plug into a jack that has both microphone and headphone channels (such as the jack on a cell phone) and splits the channels into two separate jacks, so that I can plug an earbud into one, and a dedicated microphone into the other.
Does such a "splitter" exist? If so, what's it called? What do I put into the search box when browsing audio/video shops online?
I already have a simple headphone splitter that takes one headphone jack and splits it into two, but it only splits the audio, and it basically just takes one audio channel and duplicates it, so two people can listen to the same iPod or whatever. I looking for a splitter that will divide the channel into one audio out channel, and one mic in channel.
