So I have picked up a hosehead to run my HLT and my BK , but I have a 20a circuit right in the same area so i wanted to add a rims tube set up to help control my mash temp in my new setup. It's running Strange brew Elsinore with a rims tube from Bobby at brewhardware and an temp probe from auberin, the same I am using in my kettles. I'll probably clone my card from the hosehead as I haven't gotten it to start running on start up like the new hosehead is set up to do.

I have cased it in a ammo box, given it an internal switching power regulator(?), and have moved from Mimi xlr's to 3.5mm audio jacks for the temp probes. I'm using a auberin 40amp ssr for the element and a sansmart(?) Dual relay for the pump outlet. The data for the probes is pin 4, ssr pin 27, and dual really pin 24(iirc). The pi "hat" is basically a soldering bread board, nothing special but it allowed me plenty of flexibility and some quality time with my under used soldering iron. The switch turns the power to the pump and element on and off.

Big thanks to Doug Eddy (hope I got that right) for the software. Also thanks to those who have posted pics of there pi controllers as it helped me figure out things. Here are some pics.

I am waiting on a 90 degree bend HDMI adapter so I can fit in the panel mount HDMI cable I have. Actually I think the adapter is 270 degree but you get the idea.
