3 Gallon Drink dispenser for fermenting

Has anyone tried to use one of thesehttp://www.amazon.com/Creativeware-3-Gallon-Unbreakable-Beverage-Dispenser/dp/B001DYJ9ZO
for fermenting 2-2.5 gallon batches. Seems it would be very easy to dispense to bottles or a keg with the dispenser leaving the trub behind.


I did a quick search and didn't find a match. I saw these on clearance at Bed bath and beyond for $20.

2 1/2 gallon Montana Jar Fermenter

Of course the metal lid in the one from the thread (from target) is important for making an airlock grommet space. Can't easily do it with a glass top.

Sorry, I ASS-sumed that it was directions for how to modify that container.
