21 days in Primary

Hello

I have just bottled my Grandfathers beer which we let sit for 21 days in primary. Usually I only go for 14 days in Primary so im wondering if these extra days were beneficial? or not?

Beer tasted ok during bottling. It was a coopers IPA kit, with 2lbs of DME.

It probably was. The difference can be subtle. One thing's for sure, it certainly didn't hurt anything.

cool i have been busy recently and would hate to ruin his beer.

One other question, to save me from a new post. I have been making batches of beer with 18.7 litre of water but when it comes time to bottle im using like 25 1 litre botles. Where is this extra beer comming from?

And is one cup of dextrose enough?

The generic recommendation is 3/4 cup dextrose for 5 gallons (~19L). It's best to go by mass/weight (volume can fluctuate, mass can't) and tailor to the beer style.

taste it yourself and you tell us. i might say it makes a big difference you might not. its up to the drinker.
