After a very long time searching for something like this, I have finally found it. You can use these on the end of your hoses that connect to 1/2" NPT threads anywhere in your system. They have a swivel like a garden hose connector to make it easy to put on and off. I bought them specifically for the water side of my plate chiller. I have camlocks on the wort side, but I saw no reason to spend that much money for the water side. These are way easier to work with than the standard non-swivel barbs I had before.

Now I bet someone will point me to a link/store that has had them all along... the only thing like this I was ever able to find was blichmann fittings for the therminator, which cost 4 times as much.
