    Corney Keg Sanke Adapter?

I have a friend who has Sanke Couplers for his kegerator lines, but is interested in having one of my beers on tap. (Home bar, no legality issues) I keg in ball lock corny kegs. Does anyone know of an adapter/lid/way that we can make this work, short of replacing a beer and gas line with corny...

    Cleaning and sanitizing kombucha kegs

A question for the kombucha keggers. What are you using to clean and sanitize your kegs? Iodophor or star san for sanitizing? Is washing them with hot water and synthetic vinegar enough? Do you use PBW to clean the kegs?

    New to kegging. Help please

Hello all. I’ve been brewing for a number of years, but have always bottled simply because I have a paranoia about gas canisters.... yes, seriously. I decided to bite the Co2 tank (like Jaws) and get into kegging. I have no idea what I’m doing. I just put the beer into primary fermenter so I’ve...

    Kombucha Kegging and Sanitizing

Hi guys, I'm a home brewer thinking of selling my kombucha on a small scale for the moment. I'm planning on using corny kegs to store my kombucha for 2F(also probably to force carbonate). Have been trying to find information on sanitizing my kegs and lines but it's been hard to come by. Any...

What's Actually Happening When you Pull a PRV? Like Sciencewise, Bro.

I'm hoping someone smarter than I can break down exactly what is happening when we pull a PRV on a pressurized keg or fermenter. It sounds straightforward, but is it? I've been kegging for a few years and recently decided I haven't given this enough thought as I try to hunt down all the...

    Tilt hydrometer for temperature control

I'm not sure if someone else has already done this so I decided to share this idea with you. So once I bought a Tilt hydrometer which I'm very pleased with I started thinking of how else I can use it so that those 135 bucks are paid off. I came up with this idea of a fully wireless...

    CO2 vs. Priming Sugar Conditioning

Hey everyone, I'm newish to kegging, helped my dad a few times, but have always bottled my own. I'm just wondering the pros/cons of burst carbonating, slow carbonating, and using priming sugar for my carbonation. I'm planning on kegging about half of my batch of Kölsch that I'm currently...

No more clogged poppets and disconnects during closed transfer!

Tried this guy for first time yesterday and it worked like a champ! So here is the problem it solved. Closed transfers have been a real PITA for me. Might be specific to my system but I find I get a decent start and then bam nothing is moving. Either the ball lock poppet or disconnect will...

Aging Belgian Dubbel in my basement

I brewed a Belgian Dubbel, however I tried it after fermentation and it tasted a bit thin. Either way I fermented for about 3 weeks and now I have kegged the beer. I want to condition the beer in the keg for about 2 or 3 months. So I have two questions. The first is what temperature should I...

    Carbonation

Hey all, so I just finished my second batch ever, in my spike brewing conical. Yes I decided to upgrade from buckets to a conical that quick haha. Clarifying in the keg

Those of you who use a clarifier after racking to your keg, what is your experience with the process? I've been trying it the last few runs and it hasn't been entirely consistent for me. I did a lager where you could tell the gelatin helped speed up the initial clarifying resulting in a clear...

    Legality of Equipment Use

Had this question come up and was wondering (I am in VA) before ever going down that road, are there legal concerns with charging anyone for equipment use? The two areas I am most curious about are: Canning or Kegging It doesn't seem like it would be an issue to say alright you can rent this...

I made a Keg / Carboy washer out of a utility pump.

I had a 1/4 hp utility pump lying around. I bought it in December when I had water in my basement while I was waiting 6 weeks for the waterproofers to put drain tile and a sump pump in. Since I hope to never use it again as a water mitigator I decided to re-purpose it into a Keg washer. It...
