How long do you think a frozen yeast could last (-20C, 50mL tubes, 10% glycerol) ?
The longest Ive ever tried was couple of years (with success).
have you ever tried longer periods?
I have just started freezing samples. I've read that they are viable from 2 to 3 years and should be cultured between those times. I plan on plating and culturing every 18 months, to ensure that I have pure strains.
