Default Carne Adovada (sort of)

SWMBO thawed some pork chops, and I really didn't want regular old pork chops this weekend, so I threw this together (far from authentic, but it turned out well):

1 lb pork, cut into 1" pieces (stew meat, shoulder, chops...whatever's on hand)
1/2 cup mild salsa
1/2 cup green chile salsa
1 fresh tomato, seeded
1/2 fresh onion, peeled
2 roasted jalapeņos, seeded
Dried red chiles to taste (1 or 2 for medium heat, more as desired)
1/2 cinnamon stick (optional)
Salt to taste

Puree all ingredients except pork in a blender or food processor. Put everything in a slow cooker set to low heat. If necessary, add water to cover pork. Cover and cook for at least 6 hours.

Serve with Mexican rice, refried beans, and a light lager of your choice.

Sorry, the pic was taken after I'd already started eating.

Looks good how'd it turn out? I'd bet it would be good with some chipotle in it for smokiness.

It turned out great! That's why I decided to post it and why I took the picture after a few bites. The roasted jalapeņo adds a little bit of character, but I can't disagree with your suggestion to try some chipotle.
