I'm gonna fire off a recipe to use up some left overs, just want to see what those with more experience think about it.

6# Amber DME
0.5# Rye
0.5# Biscuit
0.5# Crystal 40
0.25# Chocolate Malt

1oz Warrior (60min)
1/2oz Tettnang (5min)
1/2oz EKG (flameout)
1/2oz Cascade (dry hop)

Ringwood Ale Yeastcake

Just a rough guess at what I have left at the house as far as Hops go. Just shooting from the hip really.

What style are you aiming/hoping for?

I don't know if you could quite call it a porter, but I wanted to throw in the chocolate for a little more color. Kind of shooting for something unique I guess?

I think it will be fine. Not sure what style it would be. (It's not a porter without black malt, IMHO).

I'm not sure about the rye, though--doesn't it need to be mashed?

The rye does need to be mashed to get the nice spicy crispness it can give to a beer.
Anyways, I like the recipe. I don't think you can put that in any style but I like it if you leave out the rye. I think it will give a nice amber type ale with some nice malt character.
