I have installed Johnson control on my freezer to now do lagering. I have Brewer’s Best Kolsch Kit with Nott yeast. Is it worth the effort to lager or just go with the suggested instructions which are designed for an ale? I’ve seen several posts on this but can’t find a definitive answer on proper temps since Nottingham is not the recommended yeast. (I guess different answers for different tastes.) Final brew will be bottled.

I don't think Nottingham will give a true kolsch at all. For dry yeast I would use us05 before Nottingham for a kolsch or ideally of course liquid kolach yeast. That said lagering any beer for as month or two after its done fermenting should help clean up the flavor a bit so yeah it would not hurt to lager. However if your asking if you should use Nottingham at lager temps during fermentation then no I don't think it would do much at those temps.
