Ok, I kinda gave in to the noob temptation, but I was curious to see how the beer would come out to be after just one week in a bottle. I have previously opened a bottle after 2 weeks and it has come out quite good I must admit (considering it was still green). However, I opened up a London Porter I had had in a bottle for just 1 week. My first impression was, no head (no head at all, 0 head). I'm guessing this is due to the fact that their wasn't really any carbonation due to the really short period of time. I just want to clarify my doubts. I know I'm probably paranoid and I probably shouldn't have popped the bottle so early, but I was expecting there to be at least a little bit of head.
