Hello,

I'm going to yeast wash today and boiled 1 gallon of tap water. I have it in the fridge cooling and notice a white powder at the bottom of the jar with the water. What exactly is this and is it harmful for the yeast?

That happens to me, with my hard and alkaline water. I get deposits on my shower heads, and whenever I boil water the bicarb precipitates out like that. Just use the water, and not the white stuff.
