Havent seen anything like this before.

Here is the deal.

This is a lager that is now 1 month old.

2 weeks in primary, 2nd week in secondary.

I saved some of the original wort, froze it, added some fresh yeast, and put it in the secondary. My first shot a krausening - without carbing. Jus tlooking to try and get some fresh yeast/wort in there to enhance the beer.

This white stuff doesnt look good.

Any thoughts? Looks like an infection, but it didnt start till about 6 days ater adding the new wort/yeast.

well its hard to tell from the pic, its a little far away. but yea it looks like an infection. give it a good sniff and taste test before you decide what to do with it.

You can try to take some samples from below the surface and go from there... I am not an infected brew specialist by any means... If anything you may end up with some sort of 'sour' type beer...

What was the original recipe?
