Bear Republic Hop Rod Rye and Racer 5

Thanks to a very generous person in SoCal, I was able to have a bomber of each of these. I am finishing the Racer 5 as I type.

Wow. Just wow. Two amazing beers.

The Racer 5 really reminds me of Stone Ruination, which is one of my fav's. Maybe a bit cleaner finish, even. The Hop Rod was unique and spicy, and I will be brewing a clone of it very soon.

Man... Idaho sucks. Can't get these here yet.

I am a lucky guy!

I have those two beers on my list of wanted beers. Plus Pliny and any other Russian River beers. I hear RR might be distributed to Michigan soon, hopefully Bear Republic might at some point.
