So I have been Kegging for the last 6 batches... everything has been going along fine..... But I have this one batch that I am having issues with. It is a standard American IPA.... it foams like crazy coming out of the tap...

The weird thing is... I turned the pressure down... so it came out slower... and it looks like beer coming out of the tap... it just foams up really fast in the glass...

I switched my porter over just to see if it was a tap/beer line issue... but it didn't foam up crazy...

I usually dispense around 5 or 7psi... I have the IPA like on 0 or just above... and it foams up...

What could I be doing wrong???

Foam can be biatch of problem. Too little Co2 and too much Co2 can cause foam. How did you carbonate the beer?

My guess is the beer is over carbonated and/or not chilled yet.

Using 4 to 6 ft of 3/16" beer line? temp of kegerator 35 to 45F?

Maybe you just used a lot of carapils (or some other high head-retention grain) in the recipe or something? lol
