Ok I was over my friends place the other day and he handed me a bottle of beer called Paulander München. It is deffinately one of the best beers I have ever tasted! I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions to any recipes that might be close to this.

Do yourself a favor and find a beer bar that has a Munich Helles on draft. The green bottle inevitably ruins a great beer. Another option is the minikeg, but you have to use it up in a day or two.

Most Helles grainbills are about 90% Pils and the rest Carapils and Munich. I'm attempting to brew a respectable Helles with JUST German Pilsner malt and a triple decoction mash to hopefully bring the characters that a single infusion recipe gets from the Carapils and Munich.

Check out the Light Lager section of the Recipe Database, the BJCP Style Guide, and the Jamil Show episode for some ideas.
