After each time I use my siphoning equipment, I pump water and star San through the hoses to clean and sanitize them.

But I always end up with residual water stuck in the hoses, leaving that dingy foggy look in my hoses. It seems to me like that is just a breeding ground for bacteria or mildew.

Can anyone share some good advice for cleaning/drying their hoseware? Or should I just not worry about it?

How often should I replace my hoses?

I only sanitize tubing before I use it. With my hard water, starsan leaves a residue. I pump warm oxy followed by a warm water rinse and loop the tubing over a hook to drain/dry. I have been using my tubing for over a year. Most of it is quite clear with no built up residue but is wort stained. I have been thinking of replacing it lately but have had no issues with it.
