I'm looking to drill a hole and add a stainless steel ball valve to my brew kettle (tired of hefting that thing around). I'm wondering what the constant heat does to the seal of the gaskets. Has anyone had any issues? You figure with the flame in such close proximity and the heat from the boiling wort that the gaskets would break down, causing leakage were the ball valve assembly comes through the kettle wall. Any thoughts? Thanks.

All of these seals are silicone, and hold up to extremely high temps.
