so I am going to ship some pumpkin ale and winter wassail to a friend in Colorado next month. but I have never shipped this time of year and wonder about the temps. I know swill gets shipped in the back of trucks in winter so I think I will be ok. they will be 7%plus. just how well can a few bottles handle the freezing? the thought of them getting broken gifts kinda has me worried. should I just relax and have one more? or is this going to be a crap shoot?

I think you'll be fine. I've never shipped beer before, but I've left it in the back of my car in below freezing temps. It did good for a week or so before I remembered it was there.
