Is there any differance in a primary and secondary regulator other than an high pressure gauge ? If I have 2 secondarys can I hook them together and add a high pressure gauge to make a primary/secondary combo?

Secondary regulators can not handle the high pressure from the tank they need a primary to step it down to below 160 or so.

High pressure regulators have left-handed threads on the high-pressure side. Secondaries can be connected to the output of the primary.

Just out of curiosity why is my primary regulator labeled for 1800psi and both my secondaries are as well?
