Hello all. My SWMBO bought me a kegging set up for a b-day and went to hook it up tonight. The 5lb tank, new, leaks gas from the saftey valve on the tank not the regulator as soon as I turn the tank on. Does this need to go back or am I missing something.

Thanks all

Are you sure it is not leaking from the connection mating surface of the reg & tank? Do you have a gasket between those two points? Most every setup needs the gasket unless you have the built in Quad Rings that a few regs have. Sometimes it leaks and people think it is coming from a different area.

btw - if it is truly leaking at the safety valve I'd contact whoever you bought it from and let them deal with it.
