Three weeks ago I brewed a English Brown Ale and l just transferred it to a keg and started carbonating. I decided that I would do a taste test and bought a Newcastle. I taste tested it and so did my wife and my son and we all agree that the homebrew tasted better and had more aroma than the Newcastle. I had a keg of Newcastle on tap last year and really liked it. Maybe the can I bought today was off!!! ORRRR maybe I brewed a good batch of beer.:rockin:

I love this hobby:D

In my opinion, I often find that the clones often taste better than the real thing. I find that homebrew is often better than anything I can pick up at the beer store. I think knowing it's something you made also plays into it being better than the real stuff. I think my SNPA and Redhook ESB clones tasted better than the real things.
