2 Row malt in sub freezing temps

Is this actually true? Does it mean I could buy full sack (or two) of basemalt and store it in my enormous chest freezer provided SWMBO goes for it?

wont hurt the malt at all . It will stay fresher longer and you will kill off any weevils and their eggs .I have about 250lbs in my unheated detached garage right now it was 22° last night
 
You would be much better off storing your beer cold than your malt cold.

Heh, unfortunately, that's TOO cold for beer, and I can't warm it up b/c it also has a ton of meat in it, but it would be a perfect, out of the way place to store malt.

I had to ask because I had always heard to keep it out of the fridge/freezer due to moisture, surely that just meant fridge though.
