Those should be fine, they might not last your entire lifetime and you'll have to take care of them properly but they'll work alright. I still have my turkey fryer pot made out of really thin aluminum and it still works great for heating mash water.
yeah i saw the thicker one, its like $20 more. Its a 13lb pot instead of a 9lb pot. You guys think I should go with that instead? What are the benefits of a thicker pot besides durability?
I have a nice thick pot, 6 mm I believe. Since I indend on dropping this off the roof of my house, repeatedly, I need it. You should be fine with the thickness of the pot you listed.
