Has anyone successfully welded a 1" locknut to a 1.5" TC ferrule? I've seen alot of people welding the locknut straight to the keggle. I'm planning on making a TC connection for my electric element with a long ferrule welded to the keggle and then a locknut welded to a short ferrule. The element would thread into the new TC locknut and connect to the keggle. Anyone have any photos?
