Hey all,

I'm brewing another Kate the great RIS clone and thought about partigyling a schwarzbier with 2308 Munich lager yeast. Is this 1) a good idea and 2) is that a good lager for harvesting yeast since its dark? Thanks in advance!

1) yes, but it may be too roasty for style. it'll be great either way

2) if you're washing it it doesn't matter

Thanks. I'd like to wash this yeast and make a vienna lager and an O-fest.

I made a massively huge starter in the carboy and just harvested a little out of the starter and will wash the rest of the yeast after primary of the schwarzbier.

I just washed this and now I have a BOAT LOAD of happy yeasties for the next lager I brew!
