Is it a good idea to add priming sugar to the secondary and then again to bottling?

Or just add to individual bottles?

There's no need to add it to secondary, only to the bottling bucket. The sole purpose of the priming sugar is to give the yeast some extra sugar to feed on to naturally carbonate your bottles.

Adding to each bottle indivicually is risky because at best you'll have uneven carbonation among the batch, at worst some bottles will be overcarbonated to the point that they'll explode.

No, it's not a good idea. The addition of sugar to secondary will stress out the yeast thats still left in your wort. Wait till you bottle.

Sorry misunderstood the post. Still not a good idea. I just add the sugar into the bottling bucket.
