ale yeast for light lager recipe?

Ok, one of my buddys is going to make a ME light lager recipe. He doesn't have any way of keeping the beer cool, so would like to use an ale yeast instead of lager.

Can you recommend an appropriate ale yeast, or lager yeast that can do higher temps?

California Common yeast would work as well as a Kolsch yeast. Both are offered by White Labs and Wyeast.

White Lab: CC WLP810 Kolsch WLP029

Wyeast: CC 2112 Kolsch 2565

thanks much. sounds like he'd want to do a kolsch. that's what I'll suggest, or recommend that he make a bonde ale.

you could also go with the cream ale yeast blend at 60-65F. it'll leave it nice and clean.
