In case you hadn't considered it, freezing yeast samples is also a good way to store yeast, and I believe it is easier than maintaining slants.

I like the idea on freezing, thanks. Any suggestions on where to pickup the lab stuff--vials, pipette, graduated cylinders. Not lazy just extremely busy, and want to order them online, so wondering if you've found or know of a decent online supplier.
