Hey all.
I've been waiting for about 10 years to get into home brewing, but life kept getting in the way. I'm happy to say I just finished (and sampled) my first batch the other day- a classic IPA. I used an off-the-shelf extract kit from Brewer's Best. I deviated slightly; I added a bit of orange peel, and I dry hopped with Cascade in the secondary. The final result has me impressed. I'm hooked. My next beer is getting started later today- a Hibiscus Ginger Saison from Austin Homebrew. Can't wait!
Maybe next time I'll try an all grain....and something a bit more ambitious.
Loads of fun.
Travis.
